Community Partnerships

Community is at the heart of Capalaba Central Shopping Centre. We're proud to support and partner with local charities, organisations, schools, sporting clubs, and small businesses all year round. Keep reading to hear who we've donated to thus far in 2025!

 

THE CAGE YOUTH FOUNDATION

Based at Redland Bay, The Cage Youth Foundation is a not-for-profit, self-funded charity and social enterprise business founded in 2001 by Pastors Peter and Linda Grieve. They support and change the lives of youth and families across Redland City by offering counseling, youth programs, student welfare & chaplaincy, Redlands LDAS support services, and more! Capalaba Central was honoured to be a Gold Sponsor of The Cage’s GoM.A.D Gala, an annual fundraising event aimed at raising money and awareness.

 

BLUE UNIONS NETBALL CLUB

Blue Unions is a family-friendly netball club based in the Redlands area. They host a range of events to nurture and enable their players and members as well as local residents and businesses, fostering a strong community spirit. After assisting the Club raise over $6,000 towards new equipment and uniforms in 2024, the Centre continues to support President Vana and the committees' fundraising endeavors, including their Lilo & Stitch Family Movie Event at BCC Cinemas Capalaba.

 

PLAY IT FORWARD

Founded by Dr. Jonathon Welch, Play It Forward Australia delivers community arts programs to the Redlands and beyond. The registered charity aims to create connected, inclusive, and resilient communities by addressing issues such as mental health and isolation. The Centre was honoured to support their series of “fun-raisers” and sponsor their major community engagement project, The Greatest Show Choir, which is an event where the 200-voice unauditioned community choir sings a selection of favourites from stage and screen.

 

BIRKDALE SOUTH STATE SCHOOL

Birkdale South State School's P&C Association is focused on partnering with the local community to enhance student learning and facilitate the primary school's development. They continue to host an array of seasonal fundraising events, which the Centre was delighted to support.

 

PCYC REDLANDS

PCYC Redlands is a youth organisation located in Capalaba, who are dedicated to fostering positive development and engaging with local families to strengthen community connections. We are proud to support PCYC Redlands as they prepare for their Open Day, a free community event showcasing the diverse array of youth programs, fitness services, and community safety initiatives they offer. 

 

ST ANTHONY'S CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL

The St Anthony's Catholic Primary School's Parent and Friends Association are committed to partnering with various bayside community groups, helping to support their young students. The Centre is thrilled to play a part in supporting their Trivia Night fundraiser and looks foward to continuing this partnership across future events.
